Asbestos Roof Coating
We can supply asbestos roof coatings in a range of popular colours. The asbestos roof coating has been specially formulated to encapsulate potentially harmful asbestos roof fibres that often come loose when an asbestos roof starts to deteriorate. Prior to coating asbestos roof tiles, the asbestos tiles should be clean and dry. It is not advisable to pressure wash the roof as this can exacerbate the problem of asbestos fibres being released into the atmosphere. A strong and effective moss killing biocide like Green Clear can be applied to help remove moss and algae from the roof. Once this has been done and around 5-7 days later, an asbestos roof primer should be applied to help bind any loose asbestos fibres together and help with encapsulation of asbestos fibres. Once the asbestos roof primer has dried, the asbestos roof coating can then be applied, ideally by using an airless sprayer.
